Dr. Michael C. Alfano, New York University College of Dentistry and Dr. Charles J. Goodacre, Dean, Loma Linda University School of Dentistry are both recipients of the American Dental Education Association’s 2008 Gies Awards.

Dr. Alfano is recognized by the Gies Award in the category of Outstanding Vision – Dental Educator.
Dr. Alfano represented the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in the 1970 SCADA program and graduated from that school in 1971.

Dr. Goodacre is recognized by the Gies Award in the category for Outstanding Innovation – Dental Educator. Dr. Goodacre represented Loma Linda University in the 1970 SCADA program and graduated from that school in 1971.
