AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAVEL TO ORLANDO

The Student Clinician Research Program is conducted by the American Dental Association and sponsored by DENTSPLY International. It provides the opportunity for one student from each accredited dental school in the United States and Puerto Rico to receive an expense paid trip to participate in the American Dental Association's Scientific Session (October 8 to October 10, 2010) and to compete for awards on October 9, 2010.

STUNDENTS COMPETE IN ONE OF THE TWO CATEGORIES:
  1. Clinical Sciences / Public Health Research
  2. Basic Science Research


THE PARTICIPATING STUDENT CLINICIAN:
  • Must be selected though a research presentation competition at the dental school.
  • Must be an undergraduate at the time of the research presentation at the ADA Annual Session.
  • Must be a current member of the American Student Dental Association.
ONE STUDENT SELECTED BY EACH SCHOOL AND ACCEPTED BY THE ADA WILL RECEIVE FROM DENTSPLY:
  • An appropriate allowance for hotel and meal expenses and for ground transportation.
  • An airline ticket for one, round-trip economy class flight between the city where the school is located and the Annual Session city.
ADA/DENTSPLY STUDENT CLINICIAN RESEARCH PROGRAM AWARDS ARE MADE IN BOTH CATEGORIES AS FOLLOWS:
  • First Award - a cash prize of $750 and a travel prize to attend the Midwinter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society where winners will re-present their research.
  • Second Award - a cash prize of $750.
  • Third Award - a cash prize of $500.
