AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAVEL TO SAN FRANCISCO
Come celebrate and participate in the 53rd Anniversary of the ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Program. An opportunity will be provided for one student from each accredited dental school in the United States and Puerto Rico to receive an expense-paid trip to participate in the American Dental Association’s Scientific Session in San Francisco, California from October 19 to October 21, 2012 and to compete for awards in a research competition.
STUDENTS COMPETE IN ONE OF THE TWO CATEGORIES:
- Clinical Sciences / Public Health Research
- Basic Science Research

THE PARTICIPATING STUDENT CLINICIAN:
- Must be selected through a research presentation competition or other mechanism at the dental school.
- Must be an undergraduate at the time of the research presentation at the ADA Annual Session. (Class of 2013 or after)
- Must be a current member of the American Student Dental Association.
ONE STUDENT SELECTED BY EACH SCHOOL AND ACCEPTED BY THE ADA WILL RECEIVE FROM DENTSPLY:
- An airline ticket for one, round-trip economy class flight between the city where the school is located and the Annual Session city.
- Two nights lodging at the Student Clinician Headquarters Hotel.
- An appropriate allowance for meal and ground transportation expenses.
ADA/DENTSPLY STUDENT CLINICIAN RESEARCH PROGRAM AWARDS ARE MADE IN BOTH CATEGORIES AS FOLLOWS:
- First Award – a cash prize of $750 and a travel prize to attend the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia where winners will re-present their research.
- Second Award - a cash prize of $750.
- Third Award - a cash prize of $500.
